Most studio owners know they should be posting regularly, but many aren’t sure what to post, how to drive action, or whether it’s even working. The truth? Social media can be one of your most powerful marketing tools, when it’s used strategically.

Let’s break down exactly how to make your dance studio’s social media work for your business.

Basic, Free Social Posts

You don’t need a massive ad budget to see real results from social media. In fact, your regular, unpaid posts are the foundation of everything else you do online. Here are 3 Tips for creating effective Promotional Posts for class registration:

  1. Be sure to include a clear and direct Call To Action (CTA). For Facebook, include a registration link. For Instagram, include something like “View our class schedule on our website and register today! Link in bio.”
  2. On Instagram, make sure your bio links are always up to date. Visitors should be able to access your class schedule, registration portal, and free trial booking page at all times.
  3. Turn every registration or promo post into a story as well. Instagram stories allow you to include direct links. Share the story the same day as the post to increase the visibility.
  4. Content wise, be sure to use a good mix of real photos of kids at your studio, along with some branded content from Canva. The majority of your grid should feature kids having fun at your studio. It gives users a more personal impression and increases engagement.
  5. Create a shared photo album for your staff so it’s easy to upload photos all year-round. Use this as your ongoing library for social media content.

People are more likely to act when you tell them exactly what to do next. Don’t let them wonder—close the loop by giving them a clear CTA that leads directly to your website.

Paid Facebook Ads

Before we dive into tips here, we first have to clear something up: Facebook Ads are not magic. They work best if your studio already has strong systems in place. We’re talking about a strong, functional website, an outstanding customer experience, strong classes, and a system for turning free trial students into paying customers. Without these things, the hard truth is that you are likely wasting your money on ads.

That said, Facebook Ads can be incredibly powerful when used the right way. Our main tip is to craft your ad for a viewer that knows absolutely nothing about your studio, or dance in general.

The whole point of a Facebook Ad is to gain leads that are outside of your pre-existing audience. So include the obvious basics like where you are located, what ages you serve, what session you’re enrolling in, etc.

Instant Form Ads

Instant form Ads are advertisements within Facebook and Instagram that direct users to a form displayed within the platform, rather than sending them to a separate website. These forms automatically pre-fill user information from their profile, making it quick and easy for people to submit their contact details.

For a dance studio, you can use this for Enrollment or Free Trial Bookings. After people fill out the form, your staff will have their contact info and can quickly follow up. It can also send potential clients directly to your website!

📈Here are some incredible results from one of our clients:

  • Studio owner spent $500
  • The form collected 100 email addresses
  • Of the 100 email addresses, 10 people registered for classes
  • This comes out to a 10% conversion rate, which is considered very successful! When you do the math, this studio owner got the return on her ad.
  • Disclaimer: This worked because the studio already had strong systems, great classes, and a solid follow-up strategy in place.
